Phyllis T. Beaston, age 88, of Carlisle passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle. Born December 7, 1929 she was a daughter of the late E. Banks and Irene (Lauver) Casner. Phyllis enjoyed playing seek and find puzzles, Yahtzee, Farkel and a weekly game of poker. She also enjoyed casinos and going to the Salvation Army Senior Center. Phyllis is survived by three daughters, Vickie Leachy of Honey Grove, Linda Wilson of Carlisle and Doreene Laney of Carlisle; two… Read More » sons, Kenneth (wife Barbara) Beaston of New Bloomfield and Joseph Beaston of Blain; two sisters, Doris Reed and Joann Fensterbush both of Carlisle; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at The Salvation Army, 20 E. Pomfret St. Carlisle, PA 17013. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 to help defray the funeral costs.
