Phyllis Lee Adams Jones, 75, of Sanford, NC passed away Wednesday June 27, 2018 at Central Carolina Hospital. She was born June 28, 1942 in Amanate, West Virginia to the late Flonnie and Earnest Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Jones, and a son Donald Jones. Phyllis was a faithful member of Miracle Baptist Church in Sanford. She loved cooking, watching Food Network, shopping, and making jewelry. She is survived by three daughters Patricia Davis, Susan Vaughan, and Deborah Read (Keith); two sons Richard Jones and David Jones (Kathy); two brothers James Adams (Lois) and Ralph Adams (Jolynn); a sister-in-law Anne Adams; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog Dolly. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Saturday June 30 at Miller-Boles Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Sunday July 1st at 4PM at Miller-Boles Funeral Home with Pastor Henry Funkhouser officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at 2711 Breezewood Avenue Suite A Fayetteville, NC 28303 or to the National Kidney Foundation at 30 East 33rd Street New York, NY 10016.
