Pearl Goodman Taylor, of Franklin Square, New York, passed away at Ebeid Hospice on June 28, 2018. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 18, 1939 and was the youngest of five children. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College and her master’s degree in education from Queens College. She was a New York City Public School teacher for more than 30 years and a proud member of the teacher’s union. She enjoyed music, dancing, Zumba, and New York diners. She was meticulous in her organization and was very proud of her successful children, Steven Goodman and Jenny Luray of Washington, D.C. and Cheryl and Stephen Rothschild of Toledo. She also relished in the accomplishments of her grandchildren, Andrew, Zachary and Matthew Rothschild and Mia Goodman. She made a difference in the lives of her own children, grandchildren and many other children and that is her lasting legacy. She was predeceased by her husband, Alvah and her siblings Estelle, Bernard and Sandra. Her oldest sister, Frances, survives. Graveside services will take place in New York. The family would like to thank Dr. Bradley Sachs for his help in making Pearl’s care in Toledo possible. The family will observe shivah at Stephen and Cheryl’s home on July 4 from noon to 9 and July 5 from 5 to 9.
