Obituary for Mrs. Octavia Edwards Mrs. Octavia Edwards Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Ninth Baptist Church in Ville Platte, LA, for Mrs. Octavia Edwards, 80, who entered eternal rest, Sunday, June 17, 2018 at her residence in Ville Platte, LA. Interment will be in Ninth Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Allen Ben will officiate at the services. Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband, Calton Edwards of Ville Platte, LA; two daughters, Sovour Fields of Houston, TX and Melissa Edwards – Green (Alton) of Atlanta, GA; a granddaughter, Wylesha Fields of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Mildred Arvie and Lule Mae Doucet both of Lake Charles, LA and a host of extended family members and friends. Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her parents. Visiting hours will be observed from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Ninth Baptist Church.
