Obituary for Mrs. Nell “Ma” Hill Mrs. Nell “Ma” Hill, 82, of Royston, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Pruitt Health of Toccoa following an extended illness. Born February 8, 1936 in Bowersville, she was the daughter of the late Omar and Missouri (Peeples) Gray. She was a homemaker and was a member of Compassion Baptist Church. She is survived by her son: Rob Hill ; daughters: Rhonda Fortson, Denise McGill and Sheila Finney; grandchildren: Wade Spencer, Shawna Hollifield, Amy Schipper, Ladonna Maxwell, Ashley Bowen, Rob Hill, Colman Hill, Kimberly Clark; sister: Mollie Peeples. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Monroe Hill; sisters: Mary Owens, Mozelle Cape, Jean Cawthon and Gladys Freed; brothers: Ivey Gray, Joe Fred Gray and Harris Gray; and granddaughter: Kayla Seymour. The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Compassion Baptist Church in Carnesville with Rev. Leon Carson and Rev. Rob Hill officiating. Entombment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home of Sheila Finney 177 Tanglewood South Royston.
