Obituary of Maxilee Callicutt Maxilee Hurley Callicutt, age 88, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Callicutt was born in Randolph County on July 18, 1929 to Randall and Martha Honney Hurley. Maxilee was retired as owner and operator of McLee’s Brides & Formals. She was a member of Asheboro Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She is survived by her husband, J.P. Callicutt; son and his wife, Allen L. and Janet H. Callicutt of Asheboro; grandson, Zachary Callicutt of Asheboro; great grandson, Hunter Allen Callicutt of Asheboro; sister, Doris Shaw of Asheboro; brother, David Hurley of Asheboro; sisters-in-law, Clarice Hurley and Mozelle Callicutt both of Asheboro; and brother-in-law, Walter Overton of Asheboro. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Asheboro Pentecostal Holiness Church, 405 Summit Ave., Asheboro with Pastor Rick Wilkie and Rev. Tommy Fuquay officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Asheboro Pentecostal Holiness Church, 405 Summit Ave., Asheboro, NC 27203 or Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.
