Obituary for Maxey Harris Voyles Maxey Harris Voyles, 74, of Blythewood, SC was born at home on December 7, 1943 in Iva, SC, and passed away May 10, 2018 in Columbia, SC. He graduated from Crescent High School in Iva, SC; received an Associate’s Degree from Anderson University (College); and earned a Bachelor of Science from Erskine College. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, daughter Catherine Loper (Peter); Kendall Shealy, granddaughter; Spencer Shealy, grandson; 3 stepchildren Priscilla, James, Angelia, 6 step grandchildren and 1 step greatgrandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Ruth (Harris) and Mack Voyles; brother John Voyles. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church sanctuary on June 16, 2018 in Blythewood, SC at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
