Obituary of Mary Lou Goodey Mary Lou (Mann) Goodey, 82, of South Jacksonville passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, June 27, 2018. She was born January 11, 1936 in Evansville, Indiana to Walter J. Mann and Edna Drexler Mann. Mary Lou is survived by her son Steve Goodey and his wife Beverly of Jacksonville as well as by two daughters, Pam Goodey of Chicago and Laurie Goodey of Oak Park, Illinois. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Adam Goodey (wife, Cali) of Nampa, Idaho; Luke Goodey (partner, Stacy Six) of Jacksonville; Nick Pesavento (wife, Meg) of Chicago; and Madeline Pesavento (partner, Ian Hersey) of Brooklyn, New York. She also had a new and beloved great grandchild, Henley J. Goodey of Nampa, Idaho. Mary Lou graduated from Carbondale High School in Carbondale, Illinois and was an administrative assistant in the central office for School District 117 for more than 20 years. She was an avid quilter and loved making quilts for her family members. She was also a member of Our Saviour Catholic Church in Jacksonville. A Catholic funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with burial at Diamond Grove Cemetery. The family will meet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
