Mary Lou Kapnisis, 78, Johnstown, died June 12, 2018, at Laurelwood Care Center. She was born January 5, 1940, in Johnstown, daughter of Walter G. and Odessa M. (Kring) Hazel. Her new address is Heaven. She is survived by her sister, Selma LuAnn Hazel; cousin, Randall Kring, and many other beloved cousins; and best friend for over 33 years, Andrzej “Andy” Adamowski. She was a graduate of Johnstown Senior High School, class of 1953. She was born again in 1953. She was a member of Spirit Filled Christian. She served as operations manager for McLaughlin Group Foreign Language Institute, and was the owner of Hairline Beauty Salon from 1973 until 1990. She resettled to Virginia Beach in 1990, then returned to Johnstown in 2011. Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at 2 p.m. Friday at Henderson Funeral Home East Hills, 2503 Bedford Street, The Rev. John Hollis, officiating.
