Obituary for Mary Frances Connelly Mary Frances McIntire Connelly was born on April 23, 1930 in Wade, Oklahoma to Thomas Hendrix and Zula Frances Todd McIntire. Mary passed away on June 24, 2018 in Rowlett, Texas at the age of 88. Mary attended school at Wade and Albany and later married Charles William Connelly on March 1, 1947 in Bonham, Texas. They were blessed with 54 years together until Charles’ passing on May 13, 2001. Mary worked and retired as an Accounting and Administrative Manager for Scottish & York Insurance Company. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and in her free time she enjoyed being the Site Manager for the Albany Senior Center. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Connelly; parents, Zula and Hendrix McIntire; brothers, Virgil, Hollis and Lester McIntire; sisters, Edith Holder, Hazel Akin, Viola Cain and Lois Tignor and granddaughter, Katie Connelly. Mary is survived by her children, Sheila Platter of Rowlett, TX, Charles W. Connelly Jr. and wife Janie of Garland, TX and Sharon Dresh and husband Scott of Mesquite, TX; grandchildren, Rob Platter and wife Tina of Naples, FL, Renee Clark and husband Don of Denton, TX, Kenny Cockrill of Plano, TX, Aimee Kell and husband Tomas of Heartland, TX, Leanne Roysdon and husband Rusty of Crandall, TX, Bryan Dresh and wife Jennifer of Ozark, AL, Beryl Shreve and wife Brooke of Prosper, TX, Christie Eaton and husband Dana of Rowlett, TX, Chris Connelly of Garland, TX, Wes Connelly and wife Laura of Granger, IN and Jaime Gonzalez of Garland, TX; 21 great grandchildren; brother, Clyde McIntire and wife Louise of Wade, OK; sister, Evelyn Conditt of MS; sister in law, Bobbie Roark of Rockwall, TX and numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Albany, OK. Rev. Ronnie Schrick will officiate. Interment will follow in Albany Cemetery with Verlin Holder, Gary McIntire, Mike Tonick, James Akin, Gerald Akin, Larry Cain, Mike McIntire, Pat McIntire, Richard McIntire, Danny McIntire and David Conditt serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
