Martin A. {Marty] Chism died May 31, 2018 at his home in Salem, AL. Marty was born August 2, 1950 at Ft. Bragg, NC to Aubrey Lee Chism and Helene Chadwick Core Chism. He lived in the Columbus/Salem area most of his life and was a graduate of Baker High School and Columbus Technical College. He was a thermal plant operator for 27 years at Ft. Benning and West Central GA hospital, and a member of the National Association of Power Engineers. Marty was an avid sports and Alabama football fan. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marion and Larry Chism and a sister Carol Lane Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, April D. Chism, two daughters, Crystal Leigh Greene of Columbus, GA and Blythe Hall [Chris Hall] of Salem, AL, two grandsons Levi Martin and Abel Christopher Hall of Salem,AL and one brother, Richard James Chism of Columbus, GA.
