Martha Elizabeth Luther Vick 90 of Albemarle passed away peacefully Wednesday Evening, June 6, 2018 at Stanly Manor. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Dr. Wayne Bennett will officiate and burial will follow in Norwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Vick was born May 3, 1928 in Randolph County to the late Roe and Violet Shue Luther. She was a retiree of Collins and Aikman of Norwood. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Dryman Vick Sr. and two sons, Danny and Keith Vick. She is survived by her son Fred Vick Jr. (Elaine) of Norwood. Two daughters, Libby Vick Holt of Badin and Lynn Vick Simpson of Albemarle. One brother, Carl Luther (Evelyn) of Wagram. Two sisters, Bertha Mae Laviner (Frank) of Wagram and Mary Harden (Terry) of Walbash, IN. Eight Grandchildren, Fifteen Great-Grandchildren and Two Great-Great-Grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Carolina’s Palliative Care and Hospice.
