Obituary of Maria Wojtkow Maria Wojtkow, 76, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born in Volkmarsen, Germany on January 31, 1942 coming to the United States in 1950. Moving first to Little Rock, Arkansas before eventually settling in Canton and Akron, Ohio. Maria “Toosh” loved to cook for her family. She was an excellent cook that added extra love to every Ukrainian dish, meal, and dessert she made. She loved her family, reading, listening to Ukrainian music and Polkas, and decorating her home with seasonal flowers and decorations. Maria was preceded in death by parents, Anna and Stefan Domczak. She is survived by her sister Kristina (Zigmund) Balaski and brother, Jerry (Sue) Domczak; daughters, Olia (Gary) Hart, Oriana (Francis) Crookston, Orysia (Robert) Elko; sons, Josef (Devon) Wojtkow, Peter Voitko, Paul (Karla) Voitko; grandchildren, Lia Hart, Francis Jr (Heather), Theresa (Christopher), Patricia, Michael, Gregory, Tanya, Nicholas, Cecilia, Rebecca, Emily, Matthew and Dominic Crookston, Jessica and Samantha Voitko; step-grandchildren, Khori Hart, Jason (Heather) Hart, Shane (Desiree) Hart; great-grandchildren Rosalina, Heidi, Francis III, Oriana and Eli and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends Sunday July 1, 2018 from 2 to 5 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron OH 44301, where a Parastas service will be held at 4:30pm. Funeral services will begin on Monday at 9:30am at the funeral home and continue with a Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1866 Brown St, Akron, OH 44301. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church.
