Marian Ryan 2018

Marian Ryan, 87, passed away peacefully on June 24th at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital following a two week illness. Marian was born in Salinas, California on February 1, 1931, to Antonio “Tony” and Francis Rosa and was raised in the River Road area of Gonzales. She attended local schools and graduated from Gonzales High School. In 1956, she married Gerald Ryan and they resided in Soledad until 1996, when they moved to Salinas. Marian was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Eleanor Burns. She is survived by her Husband, Gerald Ryan, Son, Tim Ryan (Nina) and Grandchildren Rachel Ryan and Kevin (Katie) Ryan. Marian’s family would like to thank the staff of Victorian Home Care and her grand-niece Ellena Gonzales for the care and assistance they provided, which allowed her to remain in her own home. The visitation will be at 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018 Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St. Salinas, CA. 93901. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Northern California Multiple Sclerosis Society, or donor’s favorite charity.
