Mrs. Lynn Broome Threadgill, age 59, of Monroe, NC, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at CMC-Union. A Celebration of Life for Lynn will be held 2:00 PM Monday, June 25, 2018 at the Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112, officiated by Dr. Shad Hicks and Rev. Don Thompson. A reception honoring Lynn’s life will follow the service. The family will receive friends Monday, June 25, 2018, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM, prior to the service. Lynn was born July 31, 1958 in Union County, NC, the daughter of Barbara Ann Baker and the late George Wesley “Dub” Broome Jr. Lynn spent many years in the catering industry, and eventually went on to work as a food and nutrition supervisor for CMC-Union. She was named the Carolinas Medical Center-Union Employee of the Year in 2011 for her continual commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others. Whether offering handwritten notes of encouragement, or preparing a special meal for a patient, Lynn is lovingly remembered for her caring and thoughtful nature. Always offering a smile that would brighten up a room, she was dedicated to offering warmth and compassion to all she came in contact with. Survivors include her daughter, Heather Lynn Threadgill of Monroe, NC, her mother, Barbara Ann Broome of Monroe, NC, and the father of Heather, Rick Threadgill of Monroe, NC. She is also survived by numerous cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the team at CMC-Union for the care and outpouring of support they have provided Lynn and her family.
