Obituary of Lois Marshall CANASERAGA/DAYTONA BEACH: Lois E. Marshall, 78, formerly of Rte. 70 of Canaseraga, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at her home in Daytona Beach, FL. following a long illness. Lois was born July 31, 1939 in Knoxville, Pa. to the late Prentice and Muriel (Taylor) Drake. On June 23, 1973 in Austinburg, Pa. she married Frank Marshall who survives and resides in Daytona Beach. Lois was a nurse’s aide for many years, providing health care at St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell as well as home health care in the surrounding area. In addition to her husband, Lois is survived by a daughter, Christine Rowan (Richard Nation) of Holly Hill, FL. a son, James Marshall of Canaseraga, a step-son David Marshall of Hornell. 7 grandchildren, Khristin, Ryan and Bridgett Marshall, Mercedes, William C. and Andrew Rowan and Jullienna Mulikin. Lois is also survived by a sister Vera Kent of Woodhull and sisters-in-law Kay Drake of Woodhull and Berdena Cornell of Troupsburg. She was predeceased by a son Thomas P. Tuttle, III in 1985, step-daughter, Linda Marshall in January of 2018, 4 brothers, Clayton, David, Glen and Wilbur Drake, and 2 sisters, Clara Jean Powell and Linda VanDerploog. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Sunday at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 29 East Main St. in Canisteo, where funeral and committal services will take place immediately following calling hours at 4:00 pm with Pastor Jesse Flint officiating. Burial will be in Canaseraga Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Lois’s name may be made to either the Larger Parish Church, 20 Pratt Street Canaseraga, N.Y. 14822 or the Valley Wesleyan Church, 638 Ste. Rte. 70, Canaseraga, N.Y. 14822.
