Lisa Page (Gullett) Hesse, 49, of Newton died on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, surrounded by her family at Taylor House Hospice. A private family graveside service will be held at Newton Union Cemetery. Memorials to Taylor House Hospice may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Lisa, the daughter of Bob and Linda (Baxter) Gullett, was born on June 1, 1969 in Newton. She grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1987. Lisa then obtained her Administrative Secretarial Associates Degree from DMACC in 1989. She was united with Brad Hesse on April 11, 1992 in Newton and they were blessed with three children: Allison, Ashley, and Trent. Brad and Lisa made their home in Ankeny before living in Viola, Illinois, Bloomington, Illinois, and St. Louis, Missouri. In 2014, they moved back to Ankeny. Lisa was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed decorating, cooking, and shopping. Lisa is survived by her children, Allison Hesse (Kyler Garkie) of Newton, Ashley Hesse of Ankeny, and Trent Hesse of Ankeny; the father of her children, Brad Hesse of Ankeny; her granddaughter, Paisley Garkie; parents, Bob and Linda Gullett of Newton; grandmother, Dorothy Gullett of Newton; her sister, Brenda (Shane) Illingworth of Newton; and two nephews, Alex and Adam Illingworth. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Willard Gullett and maternal grandparents, Bill and Dolores Baxter.
