Obituary for Linda Pauline Fox Linda Pauline Canter Fox, age 71, of Taylorsville peacefully left this world for her heavenly home on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at her residence. She was born on August 26, 1946 in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Jack and Vinna Mae Canter Joines. During her career, she worked as a sewer for Mitchell Gold and Alexvale. Linda was a member of Rocky Face Baptist Church and loved her famiy. Her family was her life, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Linda had such a special love for each one of them and taking care of them when she could. She was an avid reader and was also a Nascar and sports fan, especially the San Francisco 49ers. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Jim Canter; sister Doris Auton; and nephew Scotty Canter. Those left to cherish her memory include her children Sherry Crotts & husband Steve, Melissa Matheson, Michelle Laws & husband Canavan, and Greg Fox & wife Teresa; brothers Dude Canter & wife Estelle, Gene Canter & wife Kay, Gilbert Canter, and Jackie Joines & wife Lisa; brother-in-law Frankie Auton; grandchildren Corey Matheson & wife Katie and Codey Matheson; Ryan & McKenna Crotts; Dylan & Brianna Fox; and Colton & Emma Laws; great-grandchildren Varun & Ceciley Matheson; Gracelyn Matheson; and Emily Swantek. The family will receive friends on Sunday June 3, 2018 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm at Rocky Face Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ryan Hodges officiating. Pallbearers will be Corey Matheson, Ryan Crotts, Dylan Fox, Colton Laws, Andrew Crotts, and Devin Roberts.
