Obituary for Leslie Nation Leslie Ann Nation, age 20, Mound City, Kansas died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She was born in Overland Park, Kansas on June 21, 1997 the daughter of David and Tracie (West) Nation. She graduated from Jayhawk Linn High School and was attending Fort Scott Community College Nursing School. Leslie was employed at Guest Home Estates working as a certified nurse assistant. She also had her phlebotomy credentials. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to ride horses. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Carol Nation. Leslie is survived by her parents, David Nation and Tracie Nation, a brother, Brennan Simpson, two sisters, Jill and Hannah Nation, maternal grandparents, Brent West and Debbie Lyman and her husband Carl, paternal grandfather Melvin Nation and his wife Sue, and niece Claire. Funeral service will be held 10:30 am Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Mound City Christian Church. Burial will be in the Linnville Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 to 7 pm Monday, June 18 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.
