Obituary for Larry E. Day Larry E. Day, 52, died Friday, June 22, 2018 at his home in Kearney. Memorial Services will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the home of Dennis & Sandra Day at 825 Hwy 10, Gibbon, NE. This celebration of life will include a potluck luncheon, followed by a gathering of family and friends to share music, conversation and memories. There will be no visitation. He grew up in Gibbon, and graduated from Kearney High School in 1984, attending Kearney State College after high school graduation. Larry and Sherri met in Kearney in April of 2004 and on June 7, 2008 he married Sherri Marchman in Kearney. He worked as a System Analyst for Buckle in Kearney for 10 years, and KMart as a System Trainer for 19 years. Larry enjoyed camping, hunting, reading, home brewing, cooking, music, sharing time with family and friends , spending quality time with his loving wife Sherri Day, playing with his grandchildren, and he loved gardening. Surviving relatives include his wife Sherri Marchman-Day of Kearney; step sons, Bryan Sloan of Sioux City, IA, Dan Sloan of Kearney, Jeff Young of Cairo,NE; step daughter, Jessica Marchman of Kearney, NE; mother, Donna Day of Kearney; father, Dennis Day and his wife Sandra Day, of Gibbon, NE; grandmother; Dorothy Bond of Kearney NE; grandchildren Orion, Arriana, Kieran, Braxton, Kynslee, Corbyn, Caden; sister, Linda Manfull, and husband Ray of Valley Center, KS; niece Taylor Manfull of Wichita, KS and nephew Steven Manfull of Valley Center, KS; aunt Marie Reiter and her husband Irv of Kearney NE, their daughters Lori Reiter, Kearney NE and Paula Marzolf and husband Lannie of Kearney NE.
