Kay Frances Swanner, 79, passed away Tues. June 19, 2018 at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Thurs. June 21, 2018 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 10am on Fri. June 22, 2018 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery in Brandon, MS. Mrs. Swanner was born on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, was a longtime resident of Jackson, MS and has been a resident of Rankin County (Sandhill Community) for the past 27 years. She was a member of Pinelake Church in Brandon, MS where she was an active member of the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class led by Richard and Susan Ingram. Mrs. Swanner enjoyed her grandchildren, fishing, playing cards, cooking and rescuing animals. She is survived by her husband, Walter M. Swanner; four children, Cindy Paxton, Vanessa Johnson (David), Walter G. Swanner and Scott Swanner (Sherra); five grandchildren, Nicholas Paxton, Jessica Milner, Dumas Milner, Emma Swanner and Trace Alan Swanner; one great grandchild, Austin Paxton and four sisters, Shirley Fitzgerald, Betty Young, Sandra Hunt and Wanda Ladner. Mrs. Swanner is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Esta May Blackwell; sister, Linda Lemay and a granddaughter, Emily Swanner.
