Kathleen Tavares Goolgasian 2018

Kathleen Tavares Goolgasian, 65 years old, longtime resident of Warwick, RI passed away om June 21st, at her home in Warwick. She was the beloved wife of Peter Goolgasian; loving sister of Claudia Tavares Poissant and brother Louis Tavares III. Kathleen was a daughter of the late Louis M. Tavares, Jr. and the late Veronica A. Tacares, of Warren, RI. Kathleen was born in Providence in 1952. She had lived in Warren for 35 years. Kathy graduated from St. Mary’s Academy Bay View in 1979. She received an Associates Degree from Roger Williams College and became an Optician. Kathy was an Optician for many years working for Cambridge Eye Doctors, lastly as a District Manager. Kathy also enjoyed working for Koch Eye Associates as an Optician. Kathy then assisted her husband in his business ventures always lending him support. Kathy worked in several positions where she adapted her skills and excelled. Kathy loved people and was always kind to all she encountered. Kathy battled Early Alzheimer’s for many years before her death. In lieu of flowers please forward donations to VNA Care of New England HOSPICE, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886. Kathy’s funeral and visitation will be MONDAY from 8-10 a.m. at “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane, Warwick.
