Obituary for Karen Sue Stevens STEVENS, Karen Sue – 74 Karen Sue Stevens, 74, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 9:15 p.m. at Heritage Health Care. Karen was born on August 14, 1943 in Lafayette to the late Alfred John and Niva Francis (Oufett) Boothroyd. Karen graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1962. She worked at Hills Department Store, was a member of Congress St. United Methodist, and was a Race Car enthusiast. Surviving is one son, Christopher Stevens of West Lafayette, one daughter, Kimberly Stevens of Lafayette. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Shawnna Stevens, and Samantha Stevens, and 3 great grandchild. She is preceded in death by one sister, and three brothers, Alfred Boothroyd, Keith Boothroyd, and George Boothroyd. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at Simplicity Funeral Care with Celebrant Chris Dodson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, or the Arthritis Foundation. Final interment at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
