Karen Faye Seals, 69, of Stanford, KY passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at U.K. Medical Center. Born October 8, 1948 in Harlan County, KY to the late Hobart Hurst and Lorrain Kelly Hurst. She worked as a caregiver for most of her life and was a woman of Christian faith. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Charles Seals of Stanford, KY; two sons, Charles Seals II of Stanford, KY and Matthew L. Seals of Stanford, KY; two daughters, Marlena Faye Owens (David) of Lawrenceburg, KY and Lorrain Kay Schweitzer of Batavia, OH; two brothers, Hobart Hurst II of Barbourville, KY and Roy Hurst of Lawrenceburg, KY; and one sister Diana Bennett (Leroy) of Versailles, KY and many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kelly Maureen Seal; two brothers, Dennis Ray Hurst and Roy Hurst; and one sister, Deborah Sue Bennett. A one day service has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY. Pallbearers will be family and close friends.
