Obituary for June Rice Mr. June Rice, 85, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jeff Upright will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Tuesday at Lady’s Funeral Home. Mr. Rice was born March 28, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant. He was a son of the late Charles Robert Rice, Sr. and Viola Ross Rice. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Pat Hough and Barbara Drye. Mr. Rice is survived by four sisters, Abbie Upright of Rockwell, Mary Shields of Norwood, Dorothy Sutton and Sally Crayton, both of Concord; and a number of nieces and nephews.
