Joseph Charles Favano, Jr, of Norwalk, Connecticut, passed away at age 61 on June 4, 2018 at home. He was born on July 29, 1956 in Greenwich and grew up in Old Greenwich. He is predeceased by parents Dorothy and Joseph. He graduated from Greenwich High in 1974, earned his bachelors at University of Connecticut and received a masters from Bridgeport University. Joe’s love of music kept him busy performing in marching bands both in high school and at UConn where he traveled and performed in Europe. Joseph is survived by his sister, Susan Cooper of Portsmouth Rhode Island. One of Joe’s passions was baseball being a lifelong Mets fan and being involved with the American Society for Baseball Research. He was a fervent UConn basketball fan. On his creative side he enjoyed theater, and jazz. He was a volunteer for both the Alzheimer’s Association and American Cancer Society. The family invites donations in Joseph’s name to Theatre Development Fund 520 Eighth Ave Suite 801 NY, NY 10018-6507. the funeral service, will be held on Monday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m. at St Matthews, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk, Connecticut. He will be interred at St Mary Catholic cemetery in Greenwich. Visiting hours are being omitted.
