Jose Maria Reyes, age 61, passed away on June 9, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born on October 7, 1956 in Lagos de Moreno Jalisco, Mexico. He married Martha Marques and had three children, Martha P. Niebuhr, Jose M. Reyes and Lorena Reyes. He migrated to the United States when he was 17 years old. Jose then moved to Banning, California and worked as a construction worker for over 30 years. In 2008, Jose moved with his family to Idaho where he was able to enjoy some of his hobbies (fishing, hunting, shooting) for the remainder of his life. He was a loving grandfather of five grandchildren: Dominic Reyes, Mackenzie Niebuhr, Jolene Reyes, Kimberly Niebuhr and Alijah Ramirez. Jose was a humble, generous and caring man, positive and optimistic and a great role model. He was always there with a helping hand to anyone in need. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carmen Sermeno, and Jose Maria Reyes, his brothers: Mayolo and Hilario Reyes. Jose Maria Reyes was a loving, caring husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He will remain in our hearts forever. His family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses, family and friends who cared for him throughout his remaining days. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, with Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. Viewing will be held at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell.
