Obituary for Johnnie Wooten Johnnie Lee Wooten, 78, of Stephenville, died Sunday, June 17, 2018 in Stephenville. Johnnie’s wishes were to be cremated, and no public services are currently planned. Johnnie was born on October 16, 1939, in Stephenville to the late Johnnie and Zell Birdwell Wooten. He attended schools in Stephenville, and attended Tarleton State University. Johnnie served his country in the 1960s in the U. S. AirForce, and was a lifelong resident of Erath County. Johnnie was a member of the First Christian Church, and spent most of his life in sales. Survivors include his brother, Larry and wife Kay Wooten; sister, Margaret and husband Johnnie Colpa; nephews Josh and wife Lisa Wooten, and Zac Wooten; great nieces, Kaylee Marshall, Elizabeth Marshall, Tatum Wooten, Kinsley Wooten, and Paula Cox; and great nephew, Drew Wooten and Paula Cox The Wooten family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Tarleton Athletics, designate checks to TSU Women’s Golf; Box T-0080, Stephenville, Texas 76402 Johnnie Lee Wooten, 78, of Stephenville, died Sunday, June 17, 2018 in Stephenville.
