Obituary for John Robert Hines John Robert Hines, 76, passed away June 26, 2018 at his home in Layton, UT with family at his side. He was born March 6, 1942 in San Jose, CA to George Roland and Evelyn Jewel Burton Hines. He married Georgia Ann Robins in 1959 in Farmington, NM and they were married 38 years and to this union they were blessed with 2 children. They later divorced. He married Kimi Endow Sato May 26, 1996 in Layton, UT and they recently celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary. He honorably served his country in the United States Airforce and retired after 21 years of service. He then went to work at Hill Air Force Base in Civil Service until he retired. He was Vietnam Veteran and served around the world in Thailand, Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Okinawa, New Mexico, California, Virginia and Utah. JR loved cooking, music, hunting, fishing, traveling, entertaining and spending time with family. He is survived by his Wife Kimi; Children: John R. Hines, Jr. (Noelle), George Yvonne Sizemore (Bret), KarRee Matyseck (Chris); 7 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; Siblings: Shirley Meiser (Ken), Larkin Hines and a host of Aunts, Uncles and Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 2 Sisters, Nieces and Nephews and Ex-Wife Georgia. Memorial Services will be held Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at Provident Funeral Home, 3800 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT. Family will greet friend 1 hour prior to services.
