Joan Whitcomb MOUNT PLEASANT – Joan Lorraine Whitcomb, 85, of Mount Pleasant , South Carolina died, Wednesday, June 6, 2018. She was born on July 28, 1932 in East Swanzey, New Hampshire to Maurice and Elizabeth (Utter) Goodell. Mrs. Whitcomb was a lifetime member of Sullivan’s Island Baptist Church and a career military wife. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Crowell of Mt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Whitcomb and her daughter Patricia. The family will receive friends on June 9, 2018 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC, 29464. The Celebration of Life Service will be held June 10, 2018 at 3:00PM at Sullivan’s Island Baptist Church, 1753 Central Ave, Sullivan’s Island, SC, 29482. A burial will follow at Mt.
