Jim Gilmore, 65, of Chouteau, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at his home. He was born on November 20, 1952 in Clovis, New Mexico; the son of Monroe and Opal (Hight) Gilmore. He graduated Valedictorian from Elida High School in New Mexico. He went on to attend New Mexico State University and earned a bachelor’s Degree in agriculture and Extension Education. Jim also liked to watch Dallas Cowboys and Nascar racing. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 in the Chouteau First Baptist Church with Pastor John Donnelly officiating. Burial will follow in the Chouteau West Cemetery with Sam Jolly, James Scifres, Josh Tadlock, Brian Fieser, Cody Smith, Lucas Camac, Adam McCall, Michael Hodges serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 1, 2018 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel.
