Jerome W. Gerhart Sr., 89, of Panama City, FL, passed peacefully on June 3, 2018. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1948-1952 on the U.S.S. Taniger in the Korean War. He retired from the Bay County Water Department in 1991. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Josephine (Feigel) Gerhart; two brothers, Robert Gerhart and Richard Gerhart; and sister, Lorraine (Auntie) Haas. Those left to cherish Jerome’s memory include his wife of 67 years, Helen… Read More » (Mayo) Gerhart; his two loving and devoted children, Pat Foster (Kenny) of Defuniak Springs, FL and Jerry Gerhart (Penny) of Panama City; two grandchildren, Karrie Ledbetter (Kevin) of Defuniak Springs, FL and Chase Gerhart (Chelsea) of Panama City, FL; one great grandson, Kody Ledbetter (Molly) of Freeport, FL; one great-great grandson, Kaden Ray Ledbetter of Freeport, FL; one brother, Lambert Gerhart (Lorene) of Minot, ND; as well as special friends, Bob Tyler, Raymond Johnson and Jack Castles.
