James Jim Edward Bishop Jr December 17 1972 June 4 2018 (age 45)

Age 45 of Grove City, formerly of Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2018 in Columbus. He was born December 17, 1972 in Portsmouth to James Edward and Betty (Riggs) Bishop, Sr. Jim was a graduate of Portsmouth High School, class of 1992 and worked as an independent flooring installer for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and watching movies, but most of all loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Christa Bishop of Grove City; mother, Betty Hale of Franklin; father, James Bishop, Sr. of Florida; son, Hunter Bishop of Grove City; daughter, Andi Bishop of Grove City; grandmother, Gladys Riggs of Lucasville; sister, Jamie Justice of Pikeville, KY; nephews, Seth and Blaine Finn, both of Franklin; step-brother, Darin Hale of Franklin; step-sister, Dena Wolfe of Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Bishop. Funeral services for Jim will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Universal Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral.
