Obituary for Jacqueline (Jackie) Lackey Teague Jacqueline (Jackie) Lackey Teague, age 84, of Hiddenite was called home by her Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Mrs. Teague was the daughter of Bron and Edna Lackey, born on April 11, 1934, in Alexander County. Jackie was a talented artist; she painted many oil paintings, giving them away to her family. Her greatest treasures were her grandchildren. Jackie was a member of Stony Point Baptist Church. She joined Stony Point Baptist Church when her husband accepted Christ as his Savior in 1987. In her later years, she questioned her salvation. Jackie wanted complete assurance of her salvation and she asked Christ to be her Savior giving her great peace. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Earnest (Bud) Teague. Her daughter: Cynthia Bolick. Two sisters: Eria Pennell and Hilda Gryder. Three brothers: Gilbert Lackey, Tallmage Lackey, and Jefferson Lackey. Mrs. Teague leaves to cherish her memory a son Dennis Teague and wife Becky, two daughters, Carol Hines and husband Danny, Nancy Jolly and husband Craig. Eight grandchildren; Amy Swink and husband Tim, Christy Goble, Shaun Teague and wife Wendy, Sonya Herriman, Lisa Stikeleather and husband Jeremy, Angela Hines and husband Bryan, Karla Merritt and husband Wesley, and Whitney Moose and husband Jason. Fourteen great grandchildren Ean Swink, Austyn Kelley, Brandon Goble, Sophie Goble, Dalton Herriman, Colby Herriman, Chloe Herriman, Jacob Teague, Megan Stikeleather, Kelsie Stikeleather, Noah Stikeleather, Abbie Hines, Alyssa Rainey, and Jakson Moose. A sister Dorothy Marshall and a brother Bron Lackey, Jr., as well as many nieces and nephews to cherish her memories. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Stony Point Baptist Church, in Stony Point. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Rick Norman and Rev. Mitch King will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stony Point Baptist Church Cemetery fund or Stony Point Baptist Church Building fund at Po Box 198; Stony Point, NC 28678 or to Hospice of Iredell at 2347 Simonton Rd; Statesville, NC 28625.
