Jack Wayne Aldred, 84, of Lufkin, was born April 5, 1934 in Dearing, Georgia, the son of the late James Madison Aldred and Lucille (Fuller) Aldred, and died Saturday, June 23, 2018 in Lufkin. Inurnment will be at Fort Creek Church Cemetery in Dearing, Georgia at a later date. Mr. Aldred is survived by his brother and wife, Robert H. and Rose Aldred; nephew and wife, Jeff and Shelley Aldred; nephew and wife, Pat and Cyndy Aldred; nephew and wife, Chris and Elise Aldred; great nieces, Jessica Aldred, Melanie Aldred, Abby Aldred, and Bella Aldred; great-nephews, Jeffrey Aldred and Dakota Aldred; along with special friend, Chuck Stemple. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Salazar and Oscar Hernandez. Special memorials may be made to the MD Anderson Cancer Center at www.mdanderson.org. The family would like to thank the staff of the George Henderson Memory Center at Pinecrest, the staff of the Melanoma treatment center at MD Anderson and the staff of Hospice In the Pines for their loving care of Jack. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
