Hilda Case Candler, 77, of Leicester, went to be with her Lord and savior on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. A native of Buncombe Co., Hilda was a daughter of the late Alton and Mildred Haney Case. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Candler. Mrs. Candler was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother. She had a caring soul and was a God fearing lady. Surviving are her daughter, Linda Fender; sons, Mike Candler and Roger Candler; grandchildren, Crystal, Angel (Jonathan), Cody (Nikkie), and Cassidy; great-grandchildren, Duncan, Maddex and Chevy; sister, Diane Clark; and brothers, Bobby Case (Becky) and Eddie Case (Peggy). Funeral services for Mrs. Candler will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Sprinkle officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
