Gary Thomas Nightgun, 79, passed away on May 11, 2018 in Browning, MT. Gary was born to George Nighgun and Clara Eliza Vielle on December 10, 1938 in Browning, MT. Gary was raised and attended school in Browning. He also went to Haskell Indian School and went into the Air Force. Gary had many different jobs. He worked as a prison guard, military policeman, drug and alcohol counselor, truant officer, fire fighter, and with the forestry at Glacier National Park. Gary Loved to go for Rides, spend time with his family and his great-granddaughter, Clara. He loved to watch air shows with George and Clara Nightgun. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Pauline Heron, his brother Benard Vielle and Don Nighgun and a great grand-daughter, Rensesska Tatsey. Gary is survived by his daughter, Marla Nightgun, his grandchildren: Evening Heavy Runner, Mathew Heavy Runner, Jonathan Jay Heavy Runner, Great-granddaughter Clara Heavy Runner, his adopted daughter Marcella Red Head, his sisters: Velma Falcon, and Elizabeth Wells. Services were held last Friday May 18, 2018 at Glacier Homes Community Center at 1 PM. He was laid to rest at the Willow Creek Cemetery with Military Rites
