Garry “Wayne” Case, age 66, of Stanley, a Charlotte native, passed away June 14, 2018 at his residence. He was born on July 24, 1951 to the late Fred and Vesta Ferguson Case. He is also preceded in death by brothers, Donnie Case, Vernon Case, & Rev. Ronnie Case. Wayne was a long haul truck driver. He loved his family; especially his daughters and grandchildren. He also loved his pet dogs, Rocky and Smoky. He enjoyed going to the mountains. But most of all, Wayne loved his Lord and Savior. Wayne is survived by his wife, Sherry James Case; daughters, Kimberly Price & Michelle Stegall; step sons, Michael James & Bryan Hyatt; sister, Linda Smith; brother, Fred Case and wife Elaine; grandchildren, Joseph, Kayla, Lauren, & Cassidy; step grandchildren, Alan, Lee, & Matthew; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Aleigha, Ariana, & Lilly. A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, 101 Oak Grove St. Mt. Holly, NC 28120. The Memorial service to celebrate Wayne’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m also at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Hester officiating. Reception immediately following service at AmberJacks Seafood and Steaks, 4253 S. New Hope Rd. Gastonia, NC 28056. Inurnment will be private.
