Obituary of Fujie Quesenberry Fujie Quesenberry of Roanoke, Va. died early Thursday morning, June 14, 2018 surrounded by her children. She was preceded in death by her husband Basil E. Quesenberry and many family members in Japan. Fujie retired from Elizabeth Arden. She soon became bored with retirement and because of her love for children found employment at Fallon Park Elementary. Surviving are her son, Dennis Quesenberry; daughters, Jean Q. Murphy and Jane Q. Huffman; grandchildren, Kesha Quesenberry, Evan Huffman, Cody Murphy and Dakota McDowell; great-grandchildren, Ava, Kayden, Blake, Olivia, Gavin and Zilas; and dearest longtime friend, Saki The family would like to offer a very special thank you to Emily Murphy for the loving care she provided during Fujie’s illness. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Meals on Wheels Program C/O The League of Older Americans. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Gene B. Edmunds. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
