Frank C. Agati, 92 the husband of the late Rose Iozza Agati, of Oak Street, Auburn died Thursday in Auburn Community Hospital. A native of Auburn, Frank retired from the Columbian Rope Co., after more than 37 years of faithful service. Whether he was working hard landscaping or planting garlic and tomatoes in his beloved garden, he thoroughly enjoyed being outside. He was a communicant of St. Francis Church. Frank is survived by two sons John and his wife Jackie of Auburn and Frank and his wife Jamie of Florida; one daughter Linda Guzewicz and her husband Bob of Auburn; three sisters Jose Strazzere of Florida, and Rose Gentile and Francine Bizzari, both of Auburn; six grandchildren Steve Agati, Nina, Sophia and Nick Agati and Jeffery and Jennifer Guzewicz; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Rose and parents Calargio and Concetta Leonti Agati, Frank is predeceased by two brothers Nicholas Agati and Joe DePalma; and two sisters Ann Tedesco and Betty Waldron. Friends are invited to join the family for a Mas of Christian Burial to be offered Tuesday, June 12 at 10:00 am in St. Francis Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours for Frank will be held Monday from 4 to 8 pm in the Cheche Funeral Home Inc., 1778 Clark St. Road, Auburn.
