Obituary of Felix Marty Jr. “Jimmy” Felix Marty Jr. “Jimmy”, a local truck mechanic and longtime resident of the area, died Saturday, June 2, 2018 at his home in Mountaindale. He was 60. The son of Felix Marty Sr. and Maria Ruiz Marty, he was born November 3, 1957 in the Bronx. Jimmy was a veteran of the United States Army and was very loyal to his country and family. He loved the woods and nature as much as he loved his family. He was especially protective of his mother and father, and will forever be loved and missed by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his parents of Mountaindale; his siblings: Elizabeth Marty-Rudick & her husband Rusty of Rohnert Park, CA, Linda Marty Browne & her husband Ray of White Lake, Maryann Marty Browne & her husband Curt of White Lake, and Daniel Marty & his wife Barbi of Parksville; nieces & nephews: Bryant Ho (Tianni), Rachel Rudick, Catherine Rodriguez, Ryan Browne (Amanda), Kevin Browne, Allison Browne, Jennifer Browne, Dianna Marty and Sofia Marty; great niece: Sara Marmanillo; and many cousins especially Andrew Marchese & his wife Lorraine. Family & friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, June 6 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 7 at 11:00am at St. Peter’s Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello with Fr. John Sheehan officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty. Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc.
