Eugene Wood, 87 of Princeton, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at West KY Veterans Center in Hanson. He was a member of Southside Baptist church, a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean conflict and had been a farmer and truck driver. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllis P’Poole Wood; daughters, Debbie East and husband, Edd of Princeton and Karen Winters and husband, Jimmie of Princeton; son, Ronald Wood of Princeton, sisters, Mary Henderson, Grace Calhoun and Greta Bunch and… Read More » husband, Curley all of Cadiz, Patsy Sisk of Princeton; brother, Donald Wood and wife, Linda of Fairfield, IL; 7 grandchildren, Meredith Hardrick, Nick East, Jarrett Winters, Erin Faughn, Joe Winters, Adam Wood and John Logan Wood; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Smiley A. and Ruby Tidrow Wood and his brother, Hugh Carl Wood. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until funeral time Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday at Morgan’s with Rev. Ronnie Sivells officiating and assisted by Rev. Baxter Boyd. Burial will follow in the Blue Spring cemetery with military honors to be held at the cemetery.
