Obituary for Emma Sims (Jackson) Emma Lee Jackson Sims, 102, passed away after a short illness at her daughter’s residence on Friday, September 22, 2017. She was born May 15, 1915 in Lancaster County, SC daughter of the late Samuel Boyd and Hester Haywood Jackson. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Sims of Waxhaw NC, who passed away in 1954, she is also preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Jane Sims Miller of Brevard NC, who passed away in 2009. A memorial service will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Rehobeth Presbyterian Church, 5919 Rehobeth Road, Waxhaw NC 28173. The family will visit with friends following the service. Private interment will be held prior to the service. Mrs. Sims is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Jackson Sims Krovinovic, Susan Johnnette Sims both of Asheville, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
