Elmer Millis, Jr, 86, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Hillside Center Nursing Home in Madisonville, KY. He was born in Williamsburg, KY on August 7, 1931 to the late Elmer and Annie Phillips Millis. He was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church in Madisonville, KY. He had worked at General Motors as a General Foreman. He had served in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Lee Millis; two sisters: Mildred Barnett and Gerline Rains; four brothers: J.B. Millis, Johnny “Glen” Millis, Elbert Millis, and James Millis. He is survived by his former spouse, Hilda Millis of Madisonville, KY; his daughter, Donna Joan Koon and her husband, Stanley of Madisonville, KY; two sisters: Edna Gumm of Cincinnati, OH and Arlene Curnealius of Florida; one brother, Charles Millis of Ft. Wayne, IN; one grandchild, Joseph P. Mills of Madisonville, KY; four great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:00am at Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville, KY with Bro. Danny Fireline officiating.
