Obituary for Edwina Mae Peer Edwina Mae Peer, age 85, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at her home in Manassas Park, VA. She was born on February 24, 1933 in West Virginia to the late Caudy Leo and Mae Eunice (Grubbs) Whitacre. Edwina loved to gamble, play poker and BINGO, garden and crochet. Predeceased by her parents, her husband Charles Ervin Peer, Sr. and five siblings: Donald, Leo and John Whitacre; Winona Shirley and Shirley Shirley. Survivors include three children: Billie Jean Nearhoof (Kirk) of Leesburg, VA, Joyce Keller (James) of Strasburg, VA and Charles E. Peer, Jr. (Elise M.) of Manassas Park, VA; one brother: Delmas Whitacre (Suzanne) of Manassas, VA; 9 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Compassus Hospice, 14900 Conference Center Drive, Suite 170, Chantilly, VA 20151 in loving memory of Edwina M.
