Dominick Peter Caputo, age 59, of New Smyrna Beach, died at Florida Hospital New Smyrna Beach on Wednesday, June 6th, 2018. Born in Middletown, New York on January 5th, 1959 to Dominick John and Virginia Elizabeth Registro Caputo. In 1982, Dominick moved to Florida from Pine Bush, New York. As a licensed contractor, building homes was his passion. He was past elected President for the Board of Realtors. An avid traveler, Mr. Caputo enjoyed his cabin in the mountains. Locally, Mr. Caputo was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. When he wasn’t building, he could be found running on the beach, or having a pizza in the company of his loving family. Survivors include two sons, John (Melissa), and Brandon (Stephanie) Caputo of Daytona; two brothers, James (Lynn) Caputo of Pine Bush, New York, and Michael Caputo, of Orlando; two sisters Mary Ethel (Frank) Nutt of Pine Bush, and Gina Marie (Joseph) Scott, of Port Orange; and two grandchildren, Jackson and Cali Caputo, with another on the way. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Redemptorist Fathers officiating. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 998 Father Donlon Dr, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.
