Wilmington Diane M. Warner, 59 of 722 Timber Lane, died in New Hanover Medical Center in Wilmington Friday June 22, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday June 30, 2018 at 1pm at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daniel Cenci officiating. Born on December 7, 1958 in Montgomery County, Maryland, Diane was the daughter of the late Winfield Larry and Juanita Shipp Warner. She was an administrative assistant with Good Earth Associates in Castle Hayne and a graduate of UNCW with a Bachelor’s Degree. She had a passion for rescuing cats and squirrels, with a special gift of nurturing them back to health. She is survived by her lifelong friend and companion, James Hawlsey of Wilmington; a daughter, Ashley Schroll of Greensboro; one sister, Donna W. Chrisman and husband, Donald of Fayetteville; two brothers: Dwayne Warner and wife, Angela of Clinton and W. L. Warner, lll of Elkton, Florida; one granddaughter, Kayla Schroll; and several nieces and nephews: Dylan and Abigail Warner, Dorothy Chrisman, Tabitha Parker, Brandon Warner, Shianne Warner, Shane Warner and Jaimie Morain. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home on Saturday; and other times at the home of her brother, Dwayne Warner, 315 Stetson St., Clinton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, P. O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Virginia 23058. Royal-Hall is honored to serve the Warner family.
