David Edward Kinst 2018

Mr. David Edward Kinst, 68, son of the late Edward and Ethel Kittleson Kinst, was born November 22, 1950 in Geneva, Illinois. He graduated from Geneva High School where he played basketball and football. He attended college at Robert Morris College in Carthage, IL graduating with a degree in Arts & History. David was preceded in life by his older brother John Theron Kinst, and his parents. David begin his nearly 30-year construction career in 1974 as a carpenter. He concluded his career in 2003, where he retired from Electric Conduit Construction as a Foreman and Superintendent. He also built the home his family resided in for many years in St. Charles, Illinois. Upon retirement, David and his long-time companion, Wendy Seager moved to Portland, Oregon where he remained until his death. David departed his life Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at his home in Portland, Oregon. He is survived by his children, Sarah Kinst of Geneva, IL, Michael Kinst and wife Rebecca of Homewood, IL, Elizabeth (Kinst) Speckman and husband David of Carmel, IN, and his 5 grandchildren along with former spouse, Clara Kinst, and step-children Jessie Graddy and husband Bryan Graddy of Esko, MN and Eric Carter of San Jose, CA along with his nephew Matthew Kinst and wife, Susan of Chicago, IL. Memorial services will be held to celebrate his life in Geneva, IL and Portland, OR. Donations in his name may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the American Heart Association.
