Obituary for Darlene Lowery (Watkins) Darlene Ellen Watkins Lowery, 69, of Mt. Airy, MD., passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Shady Grove Hospital. She was born July 19, 1948, in Bethesda, MD., to the late Luther Watkins and Ruby “Keith” Watkins. She attended Mt. Airy Full Gospel Church, where she loved her church family. Darlene leaves behind a very devoted and loving husband of 52 years, William “Gene” Lowery and their three children: William “Randy” Lowery and wife, Stacey, of South Carolina, Christine O’Connor and husband, Terry , of New Market, and Scott Eugene Lowery of Mt. Airy. She is also survived by her brother, Gary Watkins, of Mt. Airy, seven grandchildren: Michael, Caleb and Alyssa Lowery, Devin and husband, Dustin Hess, Bailey, Trevor and Cameron O’Connor and two great grandsons: Lucas Collins and Zachariah Hess. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 11 AM at Mt. Airy Full Gospel Church, 13949 Penn Shop Rd. Mt. Airy, MD 21771. With viewing one hour prior 10-11 at the church. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Mt. Airy Full Gospel Church. or to any charity of their choice.
