Darlene Suzette Payne, 64 of Syracuse passed away Friday at home in the loving care of her family. Darlene grew up in Syracuse and then lived in New Jersey for several years before returning to Syracuse. She was a 1972 graduate of the Union Springs Academy and a member of the Westvale Seventh-day Adventist Church. Darlene was a former real estate agent with Better Homes & Garden Real Estate. Surviving are her husband James E., son William Shalaby, 2 daughters Naima (Brian) Shalaby Lee and Ashlee (Anthony) Shalaby DeSanto-Lemay, 3 sisters Bonnie Boyd, Yvonne Ingersoll, and Deborah Dean, several nieces and nephews Private graveside services will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Jordan. Contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
